Down Riggers

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a model of down rigger that would adequat for Salmon fishing? I have a G3 V170 Angler.

Although I don't own one, a friend of mine swears by his Cannon 5 ST. Fast retrieval (I think its 250 per minute), fewer moving parts and a one piece composite construction.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I will have to get one soon as I want boat completely ready for this spring. By the here in Qc City it's snowing. Where is the the heat and the sun?? I want to get my boat out!
