So I got 3 Red Flash Wigglers I need to try. The action was good but I was skeptical because these are actually what you call...old fashion spoons. These are the spoons used in the 1950's long before it was improvised. A couple of casts and nothing. Saw a few follows but no takers. I switched up to my 5 diamonds and red/white daredelves...same thing. Switched back to the wigglers. but this time i changed the hooks #6 trebles. Right away I started getting strikes. And i'm loving the action. This old fashion lures can still deliver.

Lebarons. Had a silver, bronze and red white on this. It comes with treble hooks which is a little too big for my taste. This are probably used to target big pikes. But where I fish, I don't think I will catch a 15lb. pike hence the change in hooks.

I have used these before. Me and my brother were the only people for a couple of generations to fish on my moms side of the family (my dad taught me to fish).

Hence when we went up to that cottage when we were little we used the fishing gear dated about 40s to 50s. Steel line with wobblers and that sort of thing for lake trout. I may be wrong but I think we used this lour or one very simmilar for lakers. Maybe and inch across and 2 or so inches long. Those short little rods were so stiff that sometimes we would troll around with a 2lb shaker on the end of it for a while.

you are right about the dimensions. I also have one smaller. 1.5" x .75". And yes, I read some info on this. This was made for Lakers but was great on pike that's why they made the red white pattern. And I believe a dentist actually started this.

I can't remember if it was the bigger one or the smaller but one was called a Bug Eye, we used to vertical jig for lakers with them..... many moons ago. Let us know if you get anything big on it.
Well, knowing the water I fish, the average size of pike I usually get is about 24" to 28" at about 5 to 6 lbs. Changing the treble into a smaller size got me more in terms of quantity. Did manage to hook a brown on it. All in all 4 pike and 1 brown in 2 hrs of fishing. 1 pike was hooked on a daiwa plug btw.
