Hey everybody,

I went on a fishing trip for catfish last Saturday at the aforementioned place. Managed to hook into three decent cats, oddly enough during the bright sunny afternoon. But as well, to my surprise, I caught my first pike! I was still fishing cut bait, so it was a big shock to me, and I made a point of returning him immediately, unharmed. But it was still a pretty neat surprise to hook into that.

With this, I wanted to pose a quick question, is there a time of the year where the catfish are biting more than other times? There is not a lot of info on catfish out there, so thought I might see if anyone knew anything.

Cheers,

Catfish

The spring is the best time for catfish in the slow moving lower sections of GL tribs cause lots of places get lake run cats. Never caught a pike down there in the mudhole.
