Early spring perch/panfish fishing

I'm going up to my trailer this weekend on West Lake and need some tips on spring perch and panfish fishing as all other fish are closed. Temps going to around 13C. I have never fished this early and was wondering where I can find some good eating size perch and panfish? Thanks.

Don't know about West Lake, but here on Erie they all still full of eggs in deep water
