East Today

Gonna try the East Trib again tomorrow night, been raining today/and likely a bit more tomorrow aftn. I just want to catch 1 salmon and I'm happy. Then, off to catch chrome. I am determined to do better with the chrome than last year, only caught 1.

Using glow in the dark lures is not illegal ... Using a lure with a light built into it is illegal !! Which I don't understand why Walmart sells those blaze rubber minnows with the flashers in them when that are illegal to use

Wrong, if the light is built in or attached to the line it is legal.

WIth this rain, will tomorrow on east tribs be a bad day for salmon? (not experienced salmon fisher here) Does it just depend on the water visibility as it does for any other fish like bass/pike?

at this time of year I think the only problem that you'll encounter in the east is trying to get a decent drift without snagging them. I would fish the sections of river where the salmon are not so stacked and go for steel

kool i'd like to try ph but its dam far drive for me from KW. bh in oakv. is much closer for me. Lets hope there are some nice 30lb'ers there tomorrow!! Good luck chasintails.

i seriously doubt there would be any biting going on, they're just hanging on for dear life lol, the best thing anybody could do in the east is leave it alone for a week or two

i hate how much gutting and chucking goes on at piers, plus sitting and waiting is boring for me but the fight makes up for it

No problem, just want to make sure others aren't mislead. I actually have one of those walmart lures that I want to try at the piers

Went to an east trib Sat night, it was super quiet, only a handful of people there (which was nice), but seems like the salmon were also absent. :cry: I did get to try out a new spoon, Moonshine glow bloody nose....WOW!!!

Used my UV flash light and those things hold a glow for more than 8 casts!! I could see the glow from the spoon all the way out as I reeled it in!! Super impressed. Replaced the trebles with a Gamagatsu straight hooks as well.. Hopefully the salmon will be around next weekend, I wanna try these spoons again.

I'm interested in these spoons. Who carries them??
