It would appear that I'm headed to Elliot Lake next week to work, we have 2 jobs to do up there. I'll be working most of the day unless it rains so I'm hoping for a rain day or 2. I will likely have a couple hours free each evening and haven't been to Elliot Lake for many years. I'm wondering can anyone suggest areas I can fish in the evening that are not far from the town itself as I will only have an hour or 2 after work but would like to toss a line out while I'm there. Any kind of fish is good with me pike, bass or walleye. If anyone knows of any trout streams up near there a PM would be great, maybe I can hit one on one of my hoped rain days. I'm looking to do shore fishing, but will also have waders with me. Thanks for any advice anyone offers. I'd love to hear anything anyone can tell me.

Isn't it awesome going away for work, and given the opportunity to fish somewhere else. I had that last year with Killarney. Wish yeah luck up there!!

Ya it is Porter. My work takes me all over Ontario. Last year I was in The Soo, Kapuscasing and Cochrane, also Kingston and Ottawa. So far this year I have been to Blind River, New Liskered and Sundridge (where I didn't need to ask any advice cause I know 2 great Speck streams in Sundridge. I caught 30 Specks 1 day in May, 9 in. to 1.5 lbs. and the mosquitos were biting too. :). Glad that God invented Muskol.) 2 weeks in Elliot Lake should be great. I'm hoping someone on the forum can offer me suggestions cause I haven't been there for 30 years and the last time I was there we flew out of Elliot Lake to an outpost lake for pike and bass. I'm also searching anything I can find on the net. Thanks for your best wishes, I'll let you know how I do.

What do you do btw? Thats a pretty decent amount of fish to catch :) lol. Nice, thats quite the places to go. How was the fishing at all those places aside from sundridge, for obvious reasons haha.

OO nice, i really want to do a fly in one day, would be a blast!! No problem, looking forward to hearing how you did.
