Went fishing at Erindale in the most southern spot, near the Dundas bridge and Mississauga road! Noticed some Salmon around and this steelie!! Was a great surprise considering I don't fish this river often!! Bait of the day was store bought salmon eggs, it beat the heck out of fresh salmon roe or skein, so I guess that proves it doesn't matter if it's store bought or fresh from a fish!! Caught a small trout on a Pink worm, and a tiny one on a fly!

Map location: Just google map it and use the satellite view if you wanna see the terrain and where some of the pools may be. Anyways, I was fishing near Dundas and Credit view road, near U of T mississauga. There's a fisherman's / picnickers parking lot at erindale park, but it sucks because they don't maintain it so there's a chance you may puncture your car tires with glass bottles so take head when driving through it!! Also, if bringing children, watch out as I have seen syringes in the parking lot twice.

Thanks, I'll post a new report next time I get out!!

How many ppl here continue fishing here past October, all the way thru march?

Me and my wife have another new baby coming along the way, so my fishing time will be cut down quite a bit after December, but I wish all the cold water fisherppl gluck for the best season of the year!!

This will be my first season fishing from October through to March.
Being my first year on the river, it's a whole new experience for me and I'm looking forward to it.

Do you like your islander? I'm considering it along with the Raven Matrix. Will be my first pin!

hey Frozenfire,

UMm ya, for sure I love my Islander, however when it comes to maintenance I really haven't put much effort in, so it definately can be spinning smoother than it already is now.

I think my cousin has a matrix and he said it's a good quality rod.. I never really invested in rods as mucha s the reel. Rod's break and stuff so I end up having to replace em, so I never spend more than 130 on a rod! I currently use a browning and it is fairly tough!
