Decided to give up on the salmon and trout the other day and gave the carp a try and it paid off, Me and my buddy both landed our first carp!! While trying to wash my buddys fish off ( it got covered in sand) she managed to escape and avoid getting her picture taken. All in all a great day as I lost a huge salmon on a spoon ( another first for me using hardware for them) and landing my first carp! Hope everyones having good fishing this long weekend!!

Tight lines !

You catch that Carp segment on the fishing show yesterday? I've yet to target them or otherwise catch one but Carp fishing sure looks like a lotta fun.

Klamp you gotta try it!! It was my first time and I am hooked, I have caught tons of steelhead/salmon and can say carp fight just as hard just dont expect one to take to the sky like a nice fresh chromer or an angry nook lol Always have a set of eyes on your rod, my buddy was 2 inches away from loosing a pricey combo but I managed to grab the but end of the rod just before a carp dragged it into the pond lol A very powerful fish for sure!

nice job, from the pic it looks like you had a good time fighting and catching that carp.thanks for posting and sharing.
