Too much of a "drive by wire" feel for real AWD. Now go back a couple years ago prior to all the onboard electronics/limiters gizmo's and gadgets. Now you have a beast on your hands. I have driven that, and have even been to dirt roads with it. I still prefer the feel of a 4runner's AWD system to the new Subaru's
Haven't driven a 4runner. I've driven 1 of these though...but because we only have one car. Wife opted for sport wagon awd. Would love to get the stick wrx. I'm sure 4runner slice on snow really good. it's an SUV after all. but i'm fine with my subbie...
Hey, I am not knocking you choice or making you defend your car. I too am one for Wagons, no comparsion but I have owned 5 Mazda Protege 5's.
My sister had a 02 Legacy then an 07 Legacy. in the 02 I was able to swap out the 2.0l motor for the wrx sti motor and twin turbo'd it. Didnt last more than a year before my sister ran it with no oil. Developed an ingine knock and blew the turbo's
