some of you already know this but for those of you that don't, i am going to draw a banner for the OFF banner contest and it is going to be of the most liked fish of the people on this board, but first i need to know what that fish is, so here is the survey, each person gets three votes, and you don't have to have caught the fish you choose

p.s. i would also like you to post why you like your favourite fish the most

BAH!!! I didn't read the post before voting so I only voted for pike. I like pike because their aggressive nature suits my particular brand of fishing. That is to say that I have historically been less than patient with slower presentations and the busy nature of fishing fast moving baits that pike love suits me very well. That said, I will say that largemouth bass are my second favourite and then sunfish. I llike the challenge of finding largemouth and learning the ever evolving techniques for catching them. And sunfish... well, I have a soft spot in my heart for panfish of all sorts. Mainly because I learned to fish on sunfish and when all other gamefish fail, I can always seem to count on the non-stop action of sunfish on a tiny piece of worm under a bobber.

thier the same species but thier colour is different depending on thier location

they can't be the same species, they are morphologically different. just look at the body structure and fins.

Bala, I think that Efka is saying that in Ontario we have only freshwater drums, usually referred to as "sheepshead". You put both drums and sheepshead in the poll, but to my knowledge both terms refer to the same fish as far as Ontario is concerned.

My choice in the poll has to be bass since it was the discovery of bass in unlikely places that started this website. Having said that, I fish for anything that swims for the most part, and I enjoy catching them all.

i notice that some of you are only voting once, you can vote three times, (don't vote for the same fish more than once)

My first is LM Bass, I like the challange of finding the big ones...then pike also for there agression...then perch, they are abundant, and when you catch a nice sized one they are good eatin!

My top two fish would without a doubt be Pike and Muskie. Their big, their mean, and they fight like beasts. after that its bass because their just a lot of fun to catch (not to mention the aerial acrobatics).

i just realised that i never explained my votes, i chose walleye, char, and bass
i chose bass because they're great fun to reel in
i chose walleye because they're are the first type of fish i caught
and i chose char because in my opinion, brookies are the most beatiful fish in canada

wow only 3 for musky, i thought that number would be a bit bigger. nothing is better then watching a musky hit top water. gotta love the wake before the strike

I also like going for bass, walleye and pike. so its all good

so it looks like bass are in the lead eh, i'm surprised that pike or salmon aren't doing better, i hear more about them from you guys than i do about bass, i guess that's just cause i joined after people stopped catching bass for the year
