First Time Fishing Canada

I'm really excited about coming up to Canada this August for my first Bear Hunt with my dad. We're going to be staying at highwind lake east of Kenora. We're planning to fish in the morning everyday before we hunt and would love to get some advice on what to use. I'm a largemouth bass fisherman, so have both spinners and baitcast rigs in both medium to heavy weight. I've seen a lot of people will troll, but we will not have a large motor (just a trolling motor). We will be bringing a fish finder. Here are the questions I have:

- What's the best bite during late August? I'm not picky lake trout, walleye, etc.
- What lures would you recommend?
- What type of line (braided/mono) and lb test should I have rigged up?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
