First time fishing port credit

I’m getting ready to try fishing port credit for the first time in 15 years or so. Can anyone tell me where to park? Last time I fished I parked beside the rowing club and walked to pier and also fished the river part. Going to try chucking spoons and also want to try bottom fishing with my 5 year old so we can just sit, chat and maybe catch something.... thanks Kevin

Last time I was there I parked on the road near the pathway. I was on the west side. I'm not sure you can even fish on the east side, I saw signs saying no fishing along the east wall.
Good luck, there are lots of places you and your son could sit with a worm on the bottom and just chat. Lot's of smallies hanging around, and the odd sheepshead, too.
