Hello everyone and thank you for the welcome! I am 'new' to the forums although I've been reading through them for a while now. Been fishing as long as I can remember, I'm no expert / pro but hopefully I'll find some room to contribute.

I'm in Cambridge, I fish the Grand for bass and carp, the Bronte pier for salmon and go far north for everything else..

I thought I'd upload a couple of pics for you as part of my introduction. One is of myself and a bass I caught a couple weeks ago on the Grand (figured I had to upload at least one pic of myself). The second one (which I consider to be more impressive) is of my three year old daughter and the bass she just caught on the Grand a few weeks ago. She caught this on a small pink 'Dora' fishing rod and reeled it in on her own! I didn't realize how big it was until it was on shore..

Fish on!!

Cheers,
Rob C.

Thats super awesome that you take your daughter fishing.
And even more awesome that she caught a fish half her size lol!

I remeber when I was a kid, fishing with my dad was one the best parts of my childhood.

priceless picture! These will be the memories that will stick with her forever

Welcome! Your daughter is super cute, what a great photo

Welcome to the forum. Great fish and tell me something, isn't it fun to introduce the little ones at an early age? The excitement they feel ones it's "fish on" is always relative.

Welcome to the forum.
Beautiful looking bass! I too fish the grand in the KW region for bass. But haven't caught something like those bass yet.
Nice to see young anglers outside enjoying nature.

Welcome to OFF. One of my favorite things to do in the summer time is take my 5 year old out fishing on the boat all afternoon. Some of my best childhood memories were of fishing with my Dad. I know a lot of people who don't bother taking their kids because they do more "babysitting" than actual fishing....which is sad. Nice to see an angler passing down the passion of fishing to the younger generations.

Nice bass rob, that pic of your daughter is priceless, pit it in your wallet. Man she's better than me lol. I remember going with my grandpa when I was 4 or 5 using a spongebob rod lol god times
