With all this precipitation, is it even worth heading out to any of the Lake Huron tribs? I know the levels are quite high as well. But hearing from people saying "we need rain" which brings the fish in? A bit confused by that. Would going out tomorrow AM to any of the Huron tribs near be worth while? I really want to head out tomorrow AM, its been a while. Are any Huron tribs producing at all right now?

I here that they are slammin the bows
last week I heard was a big run again
will be there in the am

What baits? Just using spinning reel/rod outfits?

Mouth is fine, take a while before is gets murky. Bust out your bass and pike lures at the pier. Spoons, spinners and crankbait.

steelhead will go for those baits? Spoons as well? I guess using roe wouldn't be ideal then? Going to bring my 9'6 rod spinning reel then.

sorry, misread.... :p going out to get a few baits then, going to head up to the pier tomorrow AM. Thanks fishergirl, and klik.

the large part of steelhead diet is fish. there are no roes floating around lake ontario for them to eat. :) so if it is shiny and looks like a fish, they'll eat it. rapala stuff are really good, make sure they don't rattle. little cleo spoons, size 2 or 3 spinners.

What I'm saying is go fish ray - never know what you'll learn or experience! Go and get 'em - I'm sure there are a couple members who would like to fish right now, a couple of PM's and you're good to go ;)

Thanks, Dozer. Problem is i am going out with a few other ppl as well and they are all not sure if they want to go now. all likely that we will go next weekend rain or shine. But these are all awesome tips, and I really appreciate it. Thanks everyone who replied!! :)

Always fish. Always! We fished really crappy high and dirty water today and still hooked a few. It's always worth it my friend. I mean, who wants to sit in the house all day anyways?!?!

same here bro always gotta fish, cant catch fish sitting on the couch. we fished a river till she was fully blown hit some steel and left once viz was down to 5ish inches.

In February I fished the west when it was fully blown at over 4 times the regular flow and still found fish

Easy reds. But on a side note I too went fishing today got skunked but that's besides the point. Days like today can either be a gem or bust but you will never know unless you get out and try.
