I usually pick up Gulp! (Crawfish flavor) for bass in a plastic squirt bottle. I will usually spray my lures (top water, spinner-bait, crank bait) every 5-10 casts. It usually helps with the hold time when a fish first strikes the lure giving you a bit more time to set the hook.

I find that sometimes scent can be effective on soft plastics, but dont make much of an effect on reaction baits(ie spinnerbaits, spoons, topwater plugs, crankbaits). Good luck! :D

My friend who fish's alot like to put his Scent in a Sealable bag with his Rubber Bait's and then let's them sit for 3 month's and he also mark's the bag with what scent he used,he also does this for the gel type scent's like Mike's Lunker Lotion as well to try and get the scent to really get into the bait.

I just got some Crawfish scent as well and putting some Tube Jig's in a baggy and let them sit for a while because I'm going to be jigging with them and not reeling in alot I want them to smell like the scent for as long as possible.

^^^ jigging would be the most effective rig if you're scenting. it keeps the scent on your lure/bait a lot longer. I tried scenting spoons and spinners...minimal effect. I can catch just as much fish without.
