Fishing Bancroft area

Hi everyone...well mother nature is not being nice to those in southern ontario wanting to start their hard water season. News reports on Lake Simcoe have not been good, and fishable ice is really slow this year. Up in our area 30 minutes from Bancroft however, our area lakes are doing nicely! We are located near McArthurs mills on Lake Weslemkoon and have some huts out. We are also about 20 mins from a few good area lakes offering trout, perch and pickerel. Those are: Mayo Lake, Green Lake and Fraser Lake. We have one large cottage available that sleeps 8 persons, and offer great rates for those who want to get their hard water fix. If your group likes to run and gun, this is a perfect location to try some of the local lakes for a few days. The ice in the area is better than 7 inches.
