The luck has finally ran out of my lucky ball cap. When that happens, it means it is time to replace it. By luck running out, I mean it stinks so bad, I have to roll down the windows of the truck... and I think the fish can smell it now and have stopped biting! lol

I'm looking for something other than a ball cap this time. I need something that offers better sun protection of both the face, neck and ears.

What kind of caps do OFFers wear and highly recommend? Where can I buy it?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not just saying this cause we are sponsored by them but Buff makes amazing products for the angler. Blocks 95% of harmful UV rays, moisture wicking, resists odours, dries quickly, feels cool to the skin and you can wear it 12 plus ways. They also come in fish patterns. It's not a hat but all you need is this and a cheapie ball hat. I swear you won't be disappointed.

Also if you do go with them please tell em we sent you. :)

I usually wear my dirty old Bass Pro mesh trucker cap, but recently have used nothing but my buff ( love it, lite, cool, breathable, sun protection ).

I've got an awesome simms cap, love the thing and wear it almost all the time (people who have met me can back this up) LOL.

I wear any of my many ball hats, all brand preferential of course but if they have a upf rating I generally go with those... Then layered up with my buff to keep the sun off my neck, I actually dunked it in the creek the other day and I have to say it was quite refreshing just worn around my neck.

Currently wearing a Calcutta Fishing ball cap, then UV Buff or similar head scarf products to protect neck, face, nose and ears. My skin is a slightly sensitive to sun, but also sensitive to sunscreen...so the head scarf is a great solution to both of my issues.

I wear it even in the tropics...especially in the tropics...and it doesn't feel too hot. Like already mentioned, dip it in the water, squeeze out excess, and you'll feel cool. But I find it more difficult to breath through the damp fabric.

buff is a must right now. specially if you have allergies from pollen and other dust particles. Keeps away the bugs and 'squitos too. Almost gave a lady jogger the shock of her life though. I came out under the bridge as she turn around and saw a camouflage ninja...

Where did you find that? Sounds like a good deal.
I got mine at Lebarons on their no tax promo. I think it a generic camo waterproof hat that you can find in any outdoor equipment store.
