Fishing diary??

Does anyone keep a fishing diary?? and if so, how detailed do you get?...I tried last year, and was doing fine, but half way through the year I got lazy and stopped...kinda regretting it now, but I think I will try again this year. Although I didnt record my 1`st ice fishing trip...but that was just practice...lol! ok the next time I will record my trip! Wll let me know about your diary keeping habits?

all i do is take pictures of the fish if there are any to be caught

I was thinking about doing one, but then there are so many things to write up.
First off, the MOST MOST important one, is the weather that day +++++++++ the weather probably up to 3 days before that.
That's already what has turned me away. But it doesn't matter that much to me i guess. I'll go whether I catch fish or not.

Many of the old fishing books I've read have always advocated the use of a fishing journal. This was a scientific approach to fishing. Having said that, I've never kept one, but I view this site (especially the reports sections) as one big fishing diary - journal.
