Hello, I went camping there last summer and had some luck around a heavy cover weed bed just past the bridge to the right of the park launch, it will be on your left side as you paddle up the river. i found the fishing to be either red hot, or ice cold in the 3 days i was there. typical morning and evening bite were good bets, i had good luck on white spinnersbaits and white BPS beaver bugs.
Apparently good muskie and walleye fishing around that area too!
