Ive seen many story threads on here but nothing about ghosts. Some fishermen go on wild adventures, walking through tall brush, abadoned places in search of the next honey hole.
Sometimes, they see things... super natural things.

Have you ever had anything weird happen to you while fishing?

Ill start off.

My uncle is an avid fisherman. I mean avid. like 5 days a week avid.
He is an immigrant from vietnam so he doesnt know much english - cant read maps - barely read road signs. BTW he is not a loogan, and he practices C/R except for the odd fish he keeps for dinner.
His way of discovering is through adventuring, and recognizing structures.

One day he tells me, he was off in St.Catherines. Doing some searching. He discoveres a nice large pond after walking through some tall brush. The kind of brush where the grass is taller than you, and its easy to get lost.
As hes fishing, he notices a man standing about 30 feet away from him in a clearing. He watched him pretty closely for a few seconds to see if he was MNR officer. He was wearing dark clothes and what looked like a fishing hat or tophat.

He feels a tug on his line, missed the bite, and when he looked back the guy was gone.

There was no paths except through the brush behind him, He was pretty sure he saw a ghost.

i guess i should stop wearing dark clothes and top hats while fishing.... seems i'm scaring off the other fishing men,,,,, just kidding. I LOVE my top hat!!!

lol ive seen creepy things nightfishing but all i know is if i hear something, im outta there, pocketknife in hand lol

Nothing scary... Except to the buddy this happened too...

We were hiking around hockley valley, trout fishing the Notty one late summer, when all of a sudden we heard somthing charging in the bush toward our direction, only to see the huge "pissed off" wild turkey come out of the bush and tackle my buddy, who instantly when down into fetal position as this turkey was clawing at him.... The rest of us laughing so hard, and urging him to fight back yet he had no fight or flight in him... it was pure defeat! LoL

Cool story... I was fishing with my cousin for specks once & a moose just gave birth beside us... When I told him so he didn't believe me until I bounced a rock off it's head & it started foaming @ the mouth ... We got the heck out of there fast!

Wonderfull idea! LOL

Me and my old man were fishing a creek last July. It was getting dark so I started to head back to the car along the path. I was almost back to the car when I heard something big moving in the bush. Thinking it was my dad I called out then something started running in my direction. When I bent down to look under a tree to see what it was I saw a buck full stride coming right at me. I said holy f@&k and the deer put on the brakes realizing i was there and changed direction maybe 10 feet away. Yep I almost got run over by a deer lol

Haha that's crazy.... Most crazy thing that happened to me I was fishing in Owen Sound, and I heard an animal walking which sounded like somebody walking their dog, I look around and there's a black bear walking right past me about 25 feet away!
