Pretty tough fishing up in Algonquin Park this past weekend...
I was up there for an extended long weekend and got completely skunked. There was heavy rain storm on Sunday so I didn't expect much but it was still disappointing. Mainly tried for small mouths on shore with spinner baits and senkos and lake trout on a canoe with jigs and power eggs on live bait rig (I did have a depth chart and a depth finder so wasn't completely blind). Neither produced. Mostly fished on Lake of Two Rivers and Smoke Lake. In the end caught few tiny, I mean TINY, fallfish on floats on ultralight setup floating down Madawaska River in a desperation move.
Most likely my lack of experience and unfamiliarity with the area (with the weather to be blamed in very small part) had much to do with it but still disappointing as I was hoping for some excitement. Well, hopefully try again next year...
