the toronto portion of the humber holds carp, catfish, large suckers and has a salmon run.

When I was a kid, we used to fish for steelhead in the spring in Etienne Brule park, we used to fish to old mill dam, but that is enforced now and you will get charged if caught fishing there. Before they notched the dam, it was considered impassible to steelhead and salmon, although the odd one made it over, but now that it is passable they have posted the dam and charge those caught fishing. There was some ok water south of the dam near the old mill, but you would need waders to fish it in anything other than very low water. You can now fish the Humber a fair way up all year long as well, I think as far as eglinton, but best to check the regs as I haven't fished it since I was a teenager, and that's a long time.... LOL! Just make sure you fish at least 25 yards down from any dam, as there is a bunch of little ones north of the old mill dam. Good luck!
