Fishing in NB

Quick question for those in the know.

I'm taking a trip to NB and I'm wondering if I need to obtain a fishing license in NB or if my ON license is valid in NB (as long as I'm following local regs of course). I'm having some trouble finding information of this nature, I expect the MNR website being down is likely the culprit.

Anyone in the know on this?

Depends on where you plan on fishing. The St John river and a lot of the surrounding rivers and lakes are tidal and you don't need a license. Your license from is not valid there.
