fishing in port hope?

me and my friend will go to port hope for fishing. i know this place is famous for salmon and trout.

However their season is off right now(right?). so.... do you guys think its worth to try bass or pike fishing?

is there any good spot for trying bass or pike, or etc? any advice will be strongly helpful for us (spot, tackle)!

you can catch catfish and carp theyre in summer i havent caught a bass there but have heard of them being there
