Fishing last week of April

Hello everyone

My wife and i really want to start fishing next week.
I was wondering if it is dangerous to fish at all with Bass out of season seeing most the time we go fishing we always catch a bass or two. Can we get in trouble with the ministry doing this?

Also we don't own a boat but we want to get away for a few days and wonder if anyone has any recommendations as to a great location with lodging with shoreline fishing or boat rentals.
Ive googled it and found many just wondered if anyone has have a personal experience at any locations.

Hi. Apparantely we can't be targeting any fish species that's out of season, but there are species like trout and panfish open to fishing during that time you mentioned.

As long as you aren't targetting them you're ok. If they catch you with size 0 spinners, small grub plastics, worms ect... I'd say you're ok. But if you get caught with size 3 mepps aglias, senkos, and craw fish plastics you're done. If you do accidentally catch a Bass just release it as quick as possible.

Just don't target them and you'll be fine.

Edit: Also keep all bass fishing arsenal out of your box, bag or whatever you keep your stuff in. Even if you're not using the gear, if you get caught with it you can still be fined.
