Fishing Line Feedback

Decent line. I find it fades and weakens over time but I use the 20lb so its never been an issue. I'm trying out the superslick power pro on my new baitcaster now, it feels a lot nicer than the old power pro but its pricey.

Now, what is with the colour options and which is best for "all" around usage? I will be fishing for bass, walleye, trout.... or anything else i am lucky enough to catch.

I fish in the Niagara region, Niagara river, Lake Gibson, Grand River, Bronte, Hamilton...etc...etc. So what would be the best colour choice?

I always use green, it matches most waters better than all the other colours, as for the brand, that's the one I use so of course I will tell you it's awesome!.

Nado's observation i've noticed as well, fades quick and it'll rub off on your hands if you spool your own line and use your fingers as guides to hold tension.

Some of my setups I have 20 lb green Power pro c/w 20 lb fluoro leader
The rest are 20 lb Sufix perf braid c/w 20 flouro leader

Both are great braids

Love the minimal stretch of braid not like the mono stretch

I prefer to use Fins braided line, I find that it is more abraision resistant than Power Pro.

So what lbs power pro would I use?

I have 8lbs mono on my reel right now and also use 10lbs mono at times , but my rod is rated for 4-12lb line. Could I safely use 20 or 30 lbs Power pro? Also I have a Shimano Sedona 2500fd reel http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/products/reels/spinning/Sedona_FB.html I know the reel can handle up to 30lbs of powerpro but would it be ok for my rod? Sorry the rod is a Berkley Lightning Rod Shock http://www.berkley-fishing.com/products/rods-and-combos/rods/lightning-rod-shock ( specific model SHS 701M ).

thanks.

I'd go with 20 or 30. You could get away with more but it might limit the lures you toss.

If the drag is set properly you won't have to worry about snapping your rod.
