Hello all,
As ice fishing season is slowly coming around the corner I am wondering about some good lakes to ice fish. I have a cottage on Skotamatta river, near the small town of Northbrook, also close is Bon Echo Provincial Park. Usually we make a a few winter trips up to the area. In the summer months I usually fish the river. As I am really getting into ice fishing this year and do not know many of the hundreds of lakes up there, I was wondering if anyone knew of some good lakes in the area for ice fishing. It does not matter what kind of fish there is there as long as I get on some fish!

Thanks,
Dave

Mazina has the lakers but from what I have heard they like to hang out in the really, really deep sections. Hard lake to fish!

Very true, it is a tough lake. I would think they would be more shallow in the winter months though. Colder water holds more oxygen.
