Greetings all; just joined up though I've been fishing for like 50 years. . .

Anyway, I am thinking about going to a lodge up by Wawa next spring, either Totomenai or Hidden River.

Anyone have any comments on those 2 lodges?

as a guide i can tell you what to look for in a camp, and this hold true for every single one. if there are pictures showing people holding fish on a stringer that they are keeping, if the fish are of big size ranges and they kept a big one and a little tiny one 99 percent of the time means they caught 5 fish all day. call the lodge and ask what people caught TODAY, make sure that the lodge is providing the fishing that you are looking for!

where i guided if you didn't get at least 200 walleye and the chance at a trophy northern you had a bad trip! and no that wasn't a fly in only lodge! the lodge i guided at had lakes that you could literally catch a small mouth every cast as well as trophy muskie lakes at their finger tips if you got "bored" of catching walleye. and as a rule of thumb the further northwest you go the better the fishing, lodges situated north of kenora should all be excellent! and if you want to go up to northern sask its even better. but if your budget only permits the lodges your choosing just be sure that they are filling you full of false promises. if they go on and on about accommodation tell them that you'd stay at a hotel in toronto if thats what you cared about, its about the damn fish!
