In preparation for your Fishing destination, it is very important to get your Fishing paraphernalia ready. Make sure that your Fishing Tackle works properly and you have enough Fishing Lures and Fishing Baits. But before anticipation and excitement get you, taking care of yourself is also of equal importance. You should foresee some circumstances that are likely to happen when you are already on your Fishing trip, and be prepared when these occur. These instances can be the constantly changing weather, winged insects swarming around while you are fishing, and small mishaps when things go slightly out of hand.

That is great info, I have a kit in my box just in case someting happens cause u never know. I remeber I was reaching for a bass one year and the hook spit right beside the shore, the hook slammed threw the fatty tissure spot between your thumb and pointer finger, i was alone and in alot of pain, after 5min of basically screaming and swearing I finally new i had to do something cause no one was arounf to help. I got my plyers and pulled the hook a little further threw my hand until i would see the barb. I used my plyers to cut behind the barb and then pull the rest of the hook out. I covered my hand and then proceded to the hospital.
I now carry antiseptic, bandands,a knife, and alot of gauzejust in case.

Ya to say the least, and you never know when you going to be around in case someone else has an accident.
Its always worth being prepard thats for sure,

That is a great idea, I think I am gonna look into taking the St Johns ambulance course for first aid!
I want to take my nephew fishing, and being prepared could help me save a life!

Y got it, since then I have taken and graduated Police FOundations, I have been certified in level "c" first aid , and I also have my first responder certificate-same thing as fireman. Its worth having the knowledge, just in case.

Along with making sure you are properly prepared, you need to keep an eye on the weather and make sure that you don't get caught in the middle of the lake in a storm. Watch the clouds, pay attention to the wind direction and for any changes in the air temperature.

And look behind you before you cast overhead. Or you may catch something that yells.

Ya i saw a kid get snagged right up his nose when a guy casted in front of him withou looking. I was young but i remember it well. man i felt bad for him as their trying to get the hook out of his nose theirs a worm wigglying around out off his nose hole,lol omfg it was gross i felt bad for him,lol.

I got my operator card last fall as well, I also have a NOAA weather radio which is nice to have but I doubt I'll be on big water often. So far I'm having great success on smaller inland lakes.
