Hey everyone,
I think this is my first post since joining about 2 years ago - I read tons of stuff on here but haven't really had much to say.
My wife and I love to fish but moved for a while to Southeast Asia 2 years ago and are coming back soon.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for March or even April fishing in Ontario?
We'll be in the GTA for a few weeks and then heading to Ottawa after.
We are responsible and accountable anglers and we practice catch and release but we also catch to eat when it's permitted.
During this period it seems like our best bets are perch, pike, trout and possibly bullhead for eating. Of course we don't have
to eat them - it's more of a coming home present for both of us to get out there, so we don't really care what we catch or if we
catch at all. Our funnest (sp) experiences have been with bass, bullhead, and some nice sized pike.
Any suggestions for a good place to head out to? We don't fly-fish and she is a novice whereas I have been fishing all my life.
I was thinking heading up north of Toronto or maybe puttering around on the Ottawa River. I love ice fishing but not looking for
that at that time.
Thanks for all the help you can give, and either way I'll do a report after our outing!
