Fishing under water falls ???

I am planing to go fly fish/bushwalking for the resident trout. I have found some creeks with nice waterfalls.
My question is can i fish right under the falls or the same rule applies 60 f.t or meters no fishing from the falls like Humber river etc.?

I think if it's not a man-made barrier, you can go girls-gone-wild on that waterfall.
