Planning on taking my children out for a fish this evening. I know all the little pond in the area (Snyder Flatts,Victoria Ponds, and random access to the grand river). Just wondering if anyone knows somewhere else i could try, maybe hook up on something of decent size. My daughter has never caught a fish over a pound due to the fact all the previous spots listed are way over fished.

Cant say for up that way but if you are ever down with them Burlington way 100% Lasalle park under the bridge facing out into the lake. I helped my dad's friends daughter net a 3.5 lb bass there last night... just saying. :)

thats awsome man we ended up going to a little river called The Nith River by a bridge down a small country road. I had never fished there, found it by using google maps satellite imagery. We caught a couple small pan fish, lost about a 5 lbs carp and she landed a 2 pound smallie. Her biggest fish. Unfortunatly when i went to take a picture my phone battery was to low. But i always carry a disposable in my tackle box. Just need to fill it up then i will develop and post. Very healthy fish. Will fish here again was limited to how far i could travel down stream because my daughter. Will post a map once im on a computer. My tablet wont let me for some reason, any ideas?

Try st Jacobs Dam
A good little spot i have caught a few resident browns there in the spring before all the people show up come summer time. Was there couple weeks ago caught nothing. But was also mid day and spent more time relaxing with the family. I have also herd of decent walleye comming out of there juat before sunrise and about an hour after dark. Its over fished.
