Got the day of on wednesday, forecast shows 35 to 45 mm of rain. From other's experience, how successful can you been in theses conditions? Thinking of Erindale or Petro park. Any hints on bait to use and presentation would be great.

If you Know the HOLEs and adjust your presentation to the current, un-clarity .... (SCENT, lures - lots of action)
Fishing in the rain can be AWESOME!

Its when all the browns, bows and salmon are on the move.

Just like Meppsman says: At the beginning ... even better.
I have to admit, I've been a bit of a "Whimp" lately with standing out in the rain ... (but wont let chocolate Milk water stop me, never one to wait for CLEAR GIN waters)

When I was out in Vancouver ... literally 90% of my fishing was in the rain.
*SMILES*

40mm is quite a bit though, could be too much to handle. Most of the rain is coming at night, but 5-10mm in the afternoon will be rough but it can still be a great time. I was out this weekend in 50km winds with only 1-3mm of rain and it was unbearable at times but worth it in the end. Going by the forecast if you go in the morning you should be able to get alot of hours of good fishing in. If you are going to float roe bring both small and larger bags, ive been surprised with how clear the river I fish has been this year after quite a bit of rain.

I had no idea you were from BC! Is it true the people there use Cigar style floats all the time?

Yes they do (Cigar floats).
And ... I'm originally from Guelph, Ontario

Lived out west (Calgary 5 yrs & Vancouver 5yrs) from '92-2002
