Really need to get out and do some fishing. Would be targeting resi bows and browns but my local tribs are pretty flooded right now. my question is ive gone out a few times during these conditions with minimal success, so does anybody have any tips for me or should i just wait till things clear up a bit

something bright or really dark. dont bother with surface stuff imo when its blown
streamers, egg patterns and nymphs have caught fish for me on chocolate days. also a san juan worm drifted along the bank can be killer if the rain was really recent
if you just enjoy being out there give it a shot bud but if you wont be happy unless you catch it might be a good day to stay home :)

In general up size, I fish a lot of streamers especially with higher water. Shmog has it on the colours, either disco party or goth...

Like everybody said something larger and brighter (florescents, black, purple, etc) so it can be seen more in choc milk... Covering the water properly is important, streamers are easier to cover water than nymphs. Using a sink tip leader can be helpful on some rivers to get down to the fish.
