for the floar guys---when the waters get low in the rivers in summer do you still float fish with the pinner? i mean is this more of a fall and spring , in relation to the trout and steel run, kind of method or type of fishing?
Used it for river smallmouth bass, brookies in Algonquin and up in Nipigon with success over the summer. Also went out with a few buddies for carp and we ended getting into some in late June on the pin.
Are you actually drift fishing for carp on the pin or bottom bouncing ?
Do you wallis cast too? I could see the pin being alright for lure chucking if a wallis cast was used.I use my pin everywhere, all the time. I use it for casting lures, jigging, drop shoting, etc. To me, the pin is the most interactive reel to use and I haven't been able to put it down, comes with me everywhere I go. I find bait casters and spinning reels boring to fight fish with, as long as you have your drag set proper all you have to do is keep reeling if you really wanted too

Quick retrieving lures on a CP must be intense lol!
