dam man ... that suckz ...

buy it from BP ? i just returned a broken rod a few weeks ago with no problems @ all

Juss sayin :) guess u need to buy a better rod ? lol

Thats what I thought too but I have caught over 60 steelhead and 30 salmon on that rod since I bought it. It must have gotten dinked rolling around in the back of the truck. I gotta Invest in a rod case that can fit a rod this big mine is too small

it didn't look like you leaned into it to much, the rod must have had a defect, sorry for your luck

Yeah I would put my bet on it being damaged prior. Happend to me before when I almost shut my rod in a car door. I stopped it just in time, so I thought..I have the same rod that you broke. It replaced the one I previously explained, hope this doesnt happen to me. Though I use a rod case :).

Hey Red, what line were you using, was the nook running upstream at the time?

I heard that graphite rods can't handle the cold and will break.

wow, that is a bummer. specially for a 15foot rod. what brand was the rod if you don't mind?

it was an okuma aventa and the nook had given up pretty much I was just trying to bring it to the bank.

coincidentally, i'm considering an okuma 12footer for steelhead. and i heard it's a pretty good rod. i'm choosing between an okuma or fenwick eagle.

I would go with Fenwick any day. Local warranty for one.

Spectacular!!

I love this video...

Dont go okuma everyone who hears my rod went said all okumas will do that haha

Okuma makes wicked walleye/bass gear.

Not so much on the other rods lol, outside of saltwater anyhow.

Yo said you store it in the bed of your truck without protection???? WTH man, any IM blank will explode if it has a nick or damage to it. Treat your gear better and it will return the favor (in most cases)

Video is awesome, but I feel for ya man.
