Apparently the day for this event has been changed due to the river possibly having ice on it for April 9, the new date is April 19th, 1 week before opener, what are your thoughts on this?

isnt it always been like the 1st or second weekend of april? i mean if the temps just slowly but consistently rise up, i think there should be no problem right? i kinda wanted to go there last year for that but hadto work instead, booohoooo

yea, its always been that first or second week, but this new date puts it right in the heavy spawning time for the steelhead

Apart from spooking a few fish I don't see how paddles being dipped in the water will do much damage.

its the constant getting in and out of the waters that the damage will come, the ganny isn't 100% passable by boat, specially the sections they are launching from

This is bull how theyve planned this.. Redds are goin to be ruined, lethargic fish are going to be stressed beyond sustainable levels itll be a total sh*tshow. Really dissapointed in this going on. If i were to try to have the dates changed or anything to change this from happening would i have some support ? Just heard today and cannot believe the ignorance
