Fly Fishing with Trout Beads.

Question for you all, I have never tried using Trout Beads on the Fly, but want to. I have some 8mm beads in various colours. So my Question is what size leader/ tippet do i use for these size beads? Also what size hook would you recommend, i was thinking size 10 octopus hooks ?

I would use the same size Tippet you use now.

Hooks I think you're right 10. I might have used 8s a few times.

You could always put a nymph under the bead too or a San Juan worm.

Not too much difference than on the pin.

beads were originally made for use on the fly rod, the float guys have just stole them as their own.

use the same setup, match your line and hook size to the water conditions
