Articulated black+red 'Aino'. #2 in front and #4 in the back. I screwed up the head but it'll still fish.

Not as nice as so many on here but here is my sixth fly tied. I kinda like it.

That will work. Try selecting a shorter hackle (barb length) for that size of hook. And strip one side off of it

Just to add to swing4steels post...make sure the natural curve of the feather is facing the rear of the hook and strip whichever side will lay adjacent to the hook( usually the "top" or left side of feather)

hackle length should be roughly the same as the hook gap.

Now bare in mind I have no clue on fly tying Big.
But if the boys are interested in Xmas money I'd gladly buy some.
