I was wondering of there is a product any one uses to prevent the ice from building on tour guids?

there is a product specifically for that but the name escapes me at the minute. usually at fly fishing stores. gimme a bit ill find it.

I use two things......Fingers and teeth!

one product is Stanleys ice off paste. has varying degrees of success
the other is http://www.lineandlure.com/ and guys like it

i have not used either but plan on trying the line and lure conditioner this winter

maybe wd 40 or jig aloo would work

i would be concerned about wd deteriorating the line.

Ya I wouldn't use a patrolium based product on my rod I'd be a frayed of ruining the finish on my rod
