French traveler wishing to discover local angling

Hello,
My name is Thomas, I'm 25, I'm French, and I'm staying in Toronto until next saturday.
I have been fishing a lot around the world, and I would love not to leave Toronto without casting a line somewhere around...
Unfortunately, it found it pretty tough to get something organized around here for the one angler that I am, so I was wondering wether anyone on the forum would be willing to show me whatever he can.
I have some gear with me but not much, mainly fly fishing stuff for salmon and trout, and also a lightweight casting rod ; maybe not very useful...

First, where are you located?
There are crowds of fishermen that are really getting into the salmon fishing as of now.
perhaps it's something you would like to try before leaving?

Remember to get a license! You wouldn't want to get fined on a trip to Toronto.

Yes indeed, Salmon fishing is defininitely something I would like to try.
I looked into it, but I'm not booking a charter for one... completely out of budget, and not fun

I am staying in downtown Toronto, but I guess I could move around to wherever it is happening
