Frenchmans bay hardwater pike

Went to frenchmans bay for some pike last week, only fished 2 hours as i went on a limb and was not prepared for the cold. i was on my was to the spit and changed my mind.

i personally only got a few perch jigging a football jig and a salted minnow and also had a live minnow on a tip up.

35 feet away from me a guy landed and released a nice 14lbs pike, got it on a tip up using a live minnow on a hook 4 ft below the ice in 18 feet of water.


will go again as soon as soon as i can

gps lat and long for where the pike were being caught are lat 43.815489 N long 79.093819 W

Get for getting out. They pike are there so keep trying.

I went down to Frenchmans yesterday afternoon and casted some cranks for a little while in open water with no luck. My favourite spots where still frozen but it was nice to just get out and try. I did notice a bunch of guys out on the ice with vehicles and also saw and heard a snow mobile screaming back and forth.
