Mulling over the idea of heading to Haliburton on Friday to catch lake trout and whatever other species, likely bass.

Anyone off on Friday and care to join? Would be leaving Durham Region, ideally would like 2 or 3 people including me.

Gas + canoe rental should be around $80, so we'd be looking at $30 or so per person with a group of 3.

I tried this once last summer but arrived at my destination with the wrong bloody fish finder, I grabbed what I thought was the portable model and didn't realize it wasn't until I was ready to use it

There's a whole slew of lakes in the area with lakers. I got out last weekend but not for bass, so part of me wants to scratch the bass itch too. Might as well kill two birds with one stone and get some lakers also.

Dare I say, this could turn out to be a fun little trip, possibly worth calling in sick for.

PM or post here if interested.

Sunday will be less windy, I am thinking Sunday will be the day. I have another species to target tomorrow anyhow.

If you like the idea of going for wild lake trout, in a small, deep, unstocked lake, out of a canoe, please post or PM by Sunday.

I would love to go, but unfortunately I gotta catch up on work, took ten hours off this week to fish already!!!! My boss thinks I am obsessed, I agree with him :)
