From KW, and new to fishing!

Hey Everyone!

I'm native to KW, and just started taking up serious fishing (in other words, more than just catching sunfish with the kids!). Currently being doing lots of river fishing down on the Grand, and when in Port Elgin hitting the Saugeen.

I've had some good success on the Grand using crank baits and tube jigs. Recently got myself a pair of waders! It's amazing how peaceful it is walking the waters.

Would love to hit some calm waters in the area if anyone has any recommendations. Large mouth are on my hit list.

I've attached a pic of my first smallie I pulled out of the Grand, have yet to match it's size.

Looks like a great forum, and looking forward to learning from some of the more experienced anglers.

Thanks! I haven't been out for steelhead or salmon. Not sure I'm experienced enough to know where to go, or how to catch them. I have all winter to read up on it!
