I was fighting what would have been my personal best salmon then some other center pinner shows up on the erindale rocks (i'm on the other side). It looked like this guy was trying to snag the fish I was fighting! I'm like you cheap bastard! But then I realized he was trying to get the other fish that were swimming with the fish I was fighting. Not the most ethical thing to do IMO, but it looked funny!

You're fighting a fish, and someone moves in and starts fishing right there? What an ARSEHOLE! The lack of manners shown by some people fishing the GTA rivers is the reason I pretty much stopped fishing there for 15 years.

It kind of scared me at first cause I thought I was dealing with a real crazy person, but then when I yelled out to him about it he gave me a thumbs up!!!!???

Friday ronald (ex0or) and I are meeting up with mykester so I guess you can come too!

Probably won't, all this rain spells chocolate pudding, plus I've got a bunch of school stuff. I'll try out the humber by my place.

Luckily north of the dam is within a 5 minute walk from my house. There's a long long stretch of river no one fishes before you start getting into this area with dam after dam.

~22 metres downward from the dam is no fishing.

but as i recall i only seen one sign and that was around the old mill area.

just make sure theres no sign that says no fishing.

They don't have to have a sign, not having a sign/not knowing isn't an excuse and doesn't get you out of a ticket. Check the regulations or call the mnr if you're not sure.

As stated in the regulations:
It is illegal to: Fish within 22.9 m (75 ft.) downstream from the lower entrance to any fishway or canal, obstacle, or any device designed to assist fish around an obstacle.
