General Question for Fun

8 wt for sure, length is tough, I guess I would go with an 11' switch. that way its not too big to use at home for carp, and on the smaller salmon rivers for steelhead and big enough to get me by on the bigger rivers. Im not really into small fish, i almost always target fish that require 7/8/9 weight rods

versatility, an 8 wt switch can get me through ALL my fishing.

For me it would be a 5 weight 8 footer because of the areas i fish and most of what i target would fall in this range.

^ I was thinking the same thing. But then I thought about 9'6 6 weight opti still water, personally I think I could do most things with this rod from nymphing browns to bass to steelhead and still have fun.

7w switch for me. i like to do a good mix of single hand and dual wield. and ive learned to really appreciate the extra length for certain methods. even on small creeks it doesnt really stop me from getting what i want :)
