What exactly are you talking about geo caching ?

I didnt know either.
Geocaching is an outdoor sporting activity in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device[sup][2][/sup] and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world.

A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook where the geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (tupperware or similar) or ammunition boxes can also contain items for trading, usually toys or trinkets of little value. Geocaching is often described as a "game of high-tech hide and seek", sharing many aspects with benchmarking, trigpointing, orienteering, treasure-hunting, letterboxing, and waymarking.

Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents, including Antarctica.[sup][3][/sup] After 10 years of activity there are over 1,532,000 active geocaches published on various websites. There are over 5 million geocachers worldwide.

it is a very interseting thing, i have looked into it, but i dont own any gps devices.. lol
i have gone to the website, seems like its gonna be real hard to find out where it should be,
im thinking i might just add something and a note, along with the other 2 note written inside.

i found it just downstream from dundas street. i have a good feeling that the river was flooded and washed it down from up stream...
but where could of it come from...? somewhere near lowvelle park? or some other public place??
i will try to post a pic of its contents. maybe some one has seen it before...

i thought at first i had found someones lost tackle box...lol

Sounds very interesting indeed. There is something for all of us but me personally would perfer to go fishing...LOL

Interesting if you like treasure hunting for no treasure......lol. You're not suppose to keep or take anything when you find it. I have 2 GPS, one for the car and a handheld. But I have 12 fishing rods, so my priorities are same as yours........lol.

I think it was Garmin who started it. Goody good good for Garmin.
