I think it's getting near that time again where we start dusting off those fishing rods or maybe spending a few dollars on new stuff to get ready for the new season ^.^b
I couldn't find any other section or thread that was appropriate for showing our gear.

Anyways, just got these new rods (poles actually) a couple months ago from Hong Kong and Japan. I'm excited to try them out.

Some info on the rods (left to right):
All the rods are telescopic, the first two rods are from Shimano and the third one is from Guangwei.
First rod is 5.4m when fully extended, 1m contracted, 6 segments and is carp super-hard grade (stiffness of rod).
Second rod is also 5.4 m fully extended, 1m contracted, 6 segments and this one is carp & herabuna (Japanese goldfish) super-hard grade.
The last rod is 4.48m fully extended, 60cm contracted, 9 segments, for all purpose fresh water lake fishing, and is graded hard.

If you are interested in Asian rods, I suggest watching these videos of the rods in action 8)

Anyways, feel free to post stuff about your fishing gear 8)

No pics yet, but I just purchased an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 4600C3 that I am in the process of modding. It will be a c6(8 - not sure if the power handle I bought has bearings or not) when I am done. It will be lined with fluror (most likely) and fished on a new St. Croix Premier 7ft MH moderate action rod for medium and deep crankbaits. I have also begun cleaning and relubing reels. I am also replacing some bearings in some of my reels to improve casting distance. The itch has definitely started for me, and I am starting to scratch...

I have nothing to show of just to be relieved that I am not the only one who gets itchy right before spring. I find myself once agian revamped and energized from my winter hibernation when im standing by the wilmot crankin in my new found steelie!!!

Its close so close i can smell it! 2-3 weeks and ill be hunting for those spawners but until then i get my roe bags set my rods ready. And my wallet empty lol!! I find it remarkable how many times i can walk in the same bait store and always find something else i could use... im pretty sure right now i am in the middle of a rapala frenzie.

I think they are going to come in handy this summer i can feel it!! Along with my spros, and senkos.. Come on bass im ready!! hurry up and spawn already!

Yep I started to scratch already, lol.

I got myself a Rapala digital scale so I can avoid the guess work on poundage. Some new spinnerbaits. Handling gloves to protect catches while snapping fish photos and putting them back into the drink. Ice gear, warmer pants and a set of galloshes. As is my spring tradition, I will buy some new line and spool up just before the ice melts. And the wait continues....
