Going to Awenda park - is it fishable?

Awenda. I know it only has a beach onto g bay...but without a boat, anywhere i can fish? Will be going sunday.

stopped there for a little while last summer. they have a lake and i asked the girl working there if she knew what was in there. she said she thinks bass. asked another person working there and they had no clue. also couldn't find any info on google.

when i checked it out, all i saw were a few people just hanging out by the dock down from the parking spot. i casted a couple of baits out there from shore for 20 minutes and got nibbles so i know the panfish are in there. was thinking of going back with the inflatable boat but the lake is big enough for me to want the bring the troller along with it but there's no ramp as far as a i could tell and bringing down the battery and all that gear down zig zagging ramp and stairs would be too much of a hassle. if i had a canoe i would definitely try.

so did you give it a try on sunday? it seems to me that it's not a very good fishing lake since there's not really info on it and didn't see anyone else fishing.

I'm also going there in a couple of weeks. The have a lake in the camp park called Kettle Lake. It doesn't look very big but I hope there at least something, crappie n' all.

I didn't try fishing on Sunday, just chilled out on the beach. I figured fishing would be a bust due to lack of info on the lake and people fishing in that area.
