Going to the Kawarthas!

The fast running water at the Kawarthas are opening up this weekend and I am taking the risk to try and find myself a spot to stand in and fish for walleye this weekend. My crazy friend is planning for us to leave before 4pm from Vaughan and sit in our spot while we BBQ until it hits midnight when these places open. I am thinking if its worth doing this? The last few years they cut down the limits of walleye in the Kawarthas to 4 and one of the 4 can be over 18inch i believe (correct me if i got it wrong). I am hoping no one goes so I have a spot to stand :?

Will try to use this fishing trip as my first report but I need to remember to take pictures. :mrgreen:

Good luck when you're there. I'd actually fish for crappie and walleye at a still water spot then move over if you guys were going to leave at 4pm.
